sounded like a good deal! not an expert on 2nd hand Cayennes, i am amazed at how much they depreciate. makes me think twice b/c i am in market to lease a new CS for my wife, maybe i should reconsider and just buy a CTT (i will drive it on weekends too!)

I think that is a great deal! I've been looking and wish that pepper had been close to chicago...I'd have picked it up myself.. I've been missing mine since it sold..

Im in the same boat as you I am in the process of selling my 996 TT and I have been looking for a Cayenne Turbo for the past few months, and I think you got a great deal considering it came with the HRE's......
HI GUYS....NEW TO THE CAYENNE WORLD, JUST SOLD MY 996TT AND I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR MONTHS FOR THE RIGHT CTT. WELL, I FOUND HER! I REALLY DON'T KNOW A LOT ABOUT THE CTT'S, SO YOU ALL WILL HAVE TO FORGIVE ME AS I LEARN. ANYWAY, I SPOTTED THIS 05' CAR ON CARS.COM, AND THE CAR HAD 21K MILES ON IT, AND THE [B]DEALER[B] WAS ASKING $54,998 FOR IT. IT LOOKED FLAWLESS FROM THE PICS, AND I ASKED ABOUT THE RIMS...GUY DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY WERE. LONG STORY SHORT, I MADE THE 2 AND A HALF HOUR TRIP AND THE CAR KNOCKED ME OFF MY FEET! JUST STUNNING! ASKED AGAIN ABOUT THE RIMS, DIDN'T KNOW. SO, AFTER LOOKING REAL CLOSE, I SAW THAT EACH RIVET WAS STAMPED WITH "HRE!" WITH BRAND NEW RUBBER ALL THE WAY AROUND! THEN, I LOOKED IN THE REAR COMPARTMENT WERE THE ECU IS CONTAINED, AND SAW A "RINDSPEED" MODULE ATTACHED. I KNEW IT WAS THE LOWERING MODULE, BUT THEY DIDN'T. OFFERED HIM $50K, JUST FOR GIGGLES, AND THE GUY ACTUALLY WENT DOWN TO $53K!!! I FEEL LIKE I JUST STOLE THIS THING! WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? HAS BOSE, PCM 2.1, REAR SHADES, FULL LEATHER, AIR SUSPENSION, 6 DISK CD CHGR, SWEADE HEADLINER, SUNROOF. COULD BE OTHER GOODIES, NOT SURE. CAR IS FLAWLESS INSIDE.

I intended to trade my 996TT for the Cayenne TT. Now that I have both, I am having second thoughts about letting go of the 996. As good as the Cayenne, it just does not drive like a sports car. On the other hand, the Cayenne is much more comfortable and practical.
These are are just too different to be replacements for each other. If you have the room, have both.

Rep Power: 38 That was my point... The Cayenne is one of the best deals in used cars as their resale value sucks... If you bought it from a dealer, I doubt the person that traded it got more than $43,000 on the trade as they would only get wholesale trade value... They probably made about $10k on the deal less advertising and any reconditioning that was done... I think you got a decent deal considering the lowering module and wheels... Definately not a steal though... A steal would be buying the CTT at Manheim numbers... 2005 loaded CTTs sell at Manheim to dealers for $42,000-48,000.00...
Since the CS was for my wife and everyday use around town, we didn't see the point in bellying up the extra cash for the CTT... $37,900 for a CPO with 24,000 miles was a good deal, not a steal but a good deal... Anyway, her RS4 sucks the doors off a Ctt anyway...
In answer to the Titanium question? Titanium Editions did not come out until 2006... Hers is Titanium with the options she wanted...

...I absolutely love the Cayenne Turbo and it IS a completely different driving experience from a CS...I do have to be honest though...the parktronics system is malfunctioning and my horn is just about done...I just purchased an extended bumper to bumper warranty and was going to pay to fix these things, out of pocket but will wait for the warranty to kick in and then get EVERYTHING fixed...but the engine, and all parts related to performance work absolutely perfect.

Why would a 2005 Cayenne Turbo be out of warranty with only 39K miles?

This is what the dealer told me...is the stock warranty 4 years/50k miles?? If so, then it is still covered.

He must have thought it was a 3 year/36k mile warranty and I just neglected to make sure...either way, I drive a lot and it will hit 50k very quickly...I purchased the extended warranty just to cover my *** in case of expensive repair.
I was quoted by a nearby Porsche dealer for the horn on the phone at a whopping $450!....I looked up the horn assembly online and found it only costs $70...nice little mark-up wouldn't you say?

Just keep looking at listings...I found mine on Ebay Motors.
