Urgent!!! Exhaust Decision
HI everybody,
I have been researching and am deciding over the gemballas, techart, or cargraphic. WHICH do you guys think has the throatiest sound but doesn't change the sound to a higher note.
I want it the same note but LOUDER and RICHER!
Arling I would appreciate your opinion and would like to know the prices you would offer me on each system. VERY EAGER TO BUY!
THANKS ALOT

Cheaper Option
Why waste money on the Techart exhaust when you can have a good muffler shop do the same thing with some polished stainless Magnflow mufflers that sound identical for less than 1/4 the cost.

The same thing
You're not being rude. Its healthy to challenge statements or claims by others (thats America!).
No R&D is really required on the exhaust other than to see if you like the sound. Buying a "kit" means that the pipes are pre-bent for you but a good shop can do it for you if they know how to work with mandrel bent pipes or can mandrel bend their own. Just be sure to use stainless 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent pipes with polished stainless mufflers (Magnaflow mufflers fit well, sound great and are polished so they look good too). I believe that Fabspeed uses Magnaflow mufflers in their system.
If you look at the Techart picture its pretty straight forward. A good shop can weld up the hangers in the right place and easily attach the support brace between the mufflers. The shop I went to did mine in about 3 hours and it sounds/looks great. No need to spend money on a brand name on this one, in my opinion.
Good luck,
Paul

Eliminating the 2ndary catalytic converters is the cheapest and 100% surefire way to gain horsepower and torque and not too loud additional sound. There are 4 catalytic converters on each & every Cayenne "S" and cayenne Twin Turbo...........the 2nd set are removable with absolutely no negative effects EXCEPT +26HP gained on a Twin Turbo and +15HP on a "S".
Easy on & easy off. Systems come with Wurth hardware $550/set complete ready to install.
Fabspeed Motorsport pioneered these 2ndary catbypass pipes.

If anyone on the board purchased cat bypass pipes for their Cayenne from Fabspeed would appreciate any comments with regard to fit/finish/performance/sound.

I have the Gemballa Exhust Tequipment tips and the fabspeed bypass pipes. It sounds awesome!! Almost like a blown V-8 with straight pipes, real throaty. I took it in for service yesterday and all the shop guys got a real kick out of it when he was revving it up in the service bay. I say go for all three items. I am suggesting the Tequipment tips because they improve the sound quality due to how the exhust is channeled the last few inchs.

Hi Sami, Yep, I have the tips on order with Michael at By Design. Do you have a S or T? Also, maybe we can meet up so I can hear your exhaust. I'm in Venice.
PS. I think you need these
