Full exhaust, bypass pipes, secondary pipes - advice needed

OK, so we got full exhaust, bypass pipes, secondary bypass pipes. Cargraphics, fabspeed, techart, speedart and so much more that im sure i missed........

I have a 08CTT and need some advice on what to do. From searching around here, i hear that installing both full exhaust and bypass pipes (or secondary pipes?) are not a good idea on the CTT. Some have stated loss of power off the line, some saying they have gained. Can anyone give me any feedback or advice here on what brands, set up i should do?

I have a few grand to spend on this and would love to hear what everyone has to say. My goal is to gain as much power as i can and give the cayenne a deeper sound with out it sounding over the top loud.

Thanks much!
Joe

I have the same setup on my CS and I've gained alot of torque down low where it seems to lack from the factory, it pulls much more violently off the line with the full fabspeed exhausts, bmc filters and a ecu tune. I can now hold my position with faster cars from the factory, funny enough the other day I killed a Cayman S tiptronic S from an acceleration with power braking and psm off. Other cars that I can surpass is the BMW Z4 3.0.

I highly recommend it with an ecu tune, plenum and drop in filters for more power and response. Should you need more information, I think GMG are the specialists with the 2008 Cayennes.

full exhaust is going to be way too loud in my opinion.

I had the 2nd cat bypasses and a cargraphic together and it was just obnoxious

I have second bypass on my CS and it sounds just perfect. Really is not bad until you really get on it then people are like WTF. I noticed a big response from such a small mod. I plan to do the BMI airfilter and ECU tune on the car and I think it will be more than fast enough for a SUV that doesnt have suspension work and dropped.

Good luck

I've got the stage 2 FVD set-up which is rated at 540hp and I love it! Noticably more pull, boost and performance. I also have the FVD lowering module and am not sure if it is installed correctly although I like the lower look from time to time.

MrWireless - since you are located in San Diego (I'm in Carlsbad), we should meet up and you can listen to my RUF Sport Exhaust. It sounds unreal. So many of my 911 comrades love to drive behind me just to listen to the exhaust note (however, some can't help being behind me due to the RUF conversion I have!).

I might be going to this Saturdays Cars and Coffee (C&C), the weekly Motorhead GTG at Ford's PAG in Irvine. PM me if you can make it or you'd like to hear it some other time.

See what i mean? so many choices!

Cannoli pm sent! (thanks)

Mohammad, you are always so helpful!
I am planning on setting up a visit with Fabryce over at GMG and have the following done (if anyone knows of a great tuner closer to san diego, please fill me in).
Just need to pick what brands i want to go with now.

-exhaust system
-diverter Valves
-filters

and maybe the plenum and ecu tune. Still unsure of these because of
warranty
issues.

mrwireless, you should do the plenum and ecu tune as I think you could haggle with the price insisting a discount because of the many individual parts your getting at the spot rather than buying each part at a different time which might be costly.

Well, it kinda does. Other than hearing the clutch disengaging, when the driver started to accelerate sounds pretty similar.

My exhaust sounds similar to MM's exhaust video, but the RUF Sport Exhaust is deeper in tone.

Some day after all of my "honey-do"s are completed, I'll post a sound or video clip.

I would love the exhaust to be deeper thats the only draw back to the Fabspeed, I think the European exhaust construction recipe is much better but I can assure you it will come with a hefty price tag.
