Basalt black cayenne??

Hey guys,

i've been visiting this form regularly for the past 6-7 months but just registered yesterday.
I live in india. I had booked a basalt black v6 cayenne with chestnut brown interiors and all the possible options including pcm, pasm 19 inch wheels, the spare wheel (which most of u would not have come across) etc. except for the four zone climate control and rear seat entertainment console ......... and no the v6 costs 85,000 usd after registration!!!!!

I am worried about the colour as i cant find any pictures of a basalt black cayenne on the net and dont want it to look like grey......
so any basalt black cayenne owners / cayenne owners with chestnut brown interiors / cayenne owners with spare wheel ..... please post some pictures ....

Thanks

Hey, basalt black cayenne is the best color that you can purchase. Mine is a basalt black and it is a black that shines at night, no gray involved in the paint, it's plain black, but metallic. The only difference between the regular black and basalt black is basalt black shines while normal black looks like an ordinary car. No offense black cayenne owners, it's just my opinion

Basalt black is great, its easier to maintain than the non metallic black. I've got a non metallic cayenne and its hard to maintain because it shows dirt much quickly and swirls are a common thing too.

my 4S is Basalt and my Cayenne is black. contrary to above, the Basalt really is a very very dark grey. it is however so close to black that most make the conclusion it is black.

anyway, it really is an amazing colour and the way both direct and indirect light play on it you will not regret the choice imo.

Here are some pics of my Basalt Cayenne S... not the best pics, but can see what it looks like in daylight w/ some shadows...

In the driveway...

Direct sinlight here, looks like charcoal...

Sunlight reflection against the metalic paint... about as "light" as it will look...

In the garage... without direct sunlight, looks close to pure black w/ some metalic flake...

are you serious?

a V6 with options costs that much? Wow... why didn't you go with the Turbo then since some of the options you listed on your very first post come standard on a Turbo?

Bsm, i'll say it again... your car looks TIGHT!

edit: CARS....sorry!

so i'm finally free of worries....

and about the turbo, a similarly specced cayenne turbo would cost somewhere around 220,000 USD here in india and thats kind of little off my pockett....

I have this color. It's basically metallic black. I think it's one of the best colors they offer. From a short distance it appears as black, not gray.
