Get an 08 CS. The pre-08 cayenne is starting to look dated (no offense).

angman, I noticed you are also in Vancouver. I am also in search of a cayenne for my wife to replace her ml500. Are you buying brand new ofdf MCLor you are looking for used one? Have you ever thought about a US Import as you have a lot more to choose from down south than just the BC market.

Personally, I would go with a S not a base as resale value will not be good if a base model in the future if you decide to sell it.

If you love accelerating to warp speed in a flash, the CTT is for you. Otherwise the 08 S will do just fine.

Hey kcphuah I have been looking at US imports as well. Got a borker working for me as well. I have looked at the local importers such as Trend Auto and Westport as well. Thier prices are better than the stealership but not much different from Wiessach. Looks like the stealership pricing is still way off. The importers pricing is decent but I would save about 15K depending on options if I were to bring one in myself. My only hesitation is that importing one does not allow me to lease the vehicle 9(hich I might consider).

Keep in mind going with an 08 does not necessarily mean you will spend less time in the shop though. I have heard countless issues with the 957's and being that its the first production not all the kinks have been ironed out. Granted you will have warranty, but even if you were to pick up a used CTT I would definitely push for a CPO. I picked up an 05 TT CPO'd and I negotiated a factory warranty that will cover me until 2011 or 100k miles for no extra cost. Because the new body is out they are very compromising in negotiating a warranty at no cost for the old body.

Design wise, it's true the older version will naturally look more dated now, but if you are planning on modding then I wouldn't worry about it so much. Customizing a car to your own taste beats driving a stock car even if it is the new style IMO. Between the used TT and V6 it would be a no brainer for me. If you can step up to the S model then there would be more to consider. I think my friend put it best though, "turbos are more addicting than crack" hahaha

The 957(08-?) is not really first production it is just a facelift with a new motor. The motor hasn't been an issue but more so the same things that have been issues in the past for certain suvs. I haven't had an issue yet(knock on wood) but I know cannga on this board has many. His is related to PASM it seems and I have PASM as well. I have a chance to get into a 08 S White/Sand Biege which was my first choice but it doesn't have PASM so i am debating on this one. I really like the PASM.

Turbo's are great but I don't think Angman and his wife would really use that kinda of power for a daily. An S would be a better choice IMO.

Good luck nonetheless!

I might have a 12K mile 08 CS for sale Black/Black PASM/PCM 2.1 Preferred Package and some extra's for sale soon
