Do the X5 and current ML have any more off-road capabilities than any AWD car? The only thing they have is a few more inches of clearance than a C4.

The last gen ML at least had a low speed transfer case, but that's gone now. Those 2 are luxury AWD vehicles, not meant for anything more than maybe going off a paved road to a dirt farm road.
