I had a new v6 Cayenne as a loaner over the weekend and was quite impressed. It's a tiptronic with "sport mode". What a difference!! The transmission is so much more responsive than my 04 CTT. And sport mode is great. Even though it's only a six cylinder it has great pick up and is very fast. Occassionally it needs to downshift to get out of the way, but only in normal mode.
No air suspension, 18" wheels and the handling is excellent. The brakes are awesome. And with only 1/2 tank of gas remaining it still reads 275 miles to empty! Overall I think it's a great improvement, but with the necessary options can get quite expensive for their entry level SUV. I guess that's a Porsche for ya.

i would say it's a very nice car =) i think for me it has enough power already that's y i didnt go with a CTT or CS...

 

Other than the engine size are there any MAJOR differences from the Base and the S model? The price difference is pretty significant in Canada.

 

i think for the base model the tiptronic is not standard but on the S model it's standard.

 

In canada the tiptronic is a no-cost option for the V6 model

 

Mainly the only difference is the engine. A few small trim pieces may be different. Tip is standard on the V6 as well.

As did I an 08 in may and there was no extra charge

 

it look lieks it is no cost - but they are charging for it i believe.
