dumb center console issue
This should be simple for you guys:
The plastic covering above the ashtray that covers the AC directional buttons etc. is misaligned and isn't closing fully. Anyone know how to put this back in place? thanks,

pOrsch3: It's still under warranty, I was just hoping that I didn't have to take it in for that.
canberk: thanks, i know you usually try to help. Its the aluminum trim piece that slides up and down between the driver and passenger ac controls.
I found a DIY on renntech on how to remove the ashtray, so im gonna take that out and see if I can re-align the piece that way, I"ll let you guys know how it goes.

good start- you may also need to pop off the silver trim around the PCM and possibly pull out the PCM unit. If that is the case (hopefully not), don't worry it is easy. make sure you put a rag over your shifter though.
Good luck! I hate those dumb little annoying things... lol

cayenned, I wouldn't try to do it by myself since it is
1-) Waste of your time
2-) Possibility to break or at least cause scratches on that part
If it's under warranty, just bring it to dealer, as far as I understand, it won't take them long time, especially if you have a good relationship with them, they can just fix it without putting you in the service queue.
