Isn't that looking down? If I had a HUD then I would add this feature.

Obviously he doesn't know about the compass settings in the cluster that displays when the compass module is activated. I am working, or should I say it is on my list of things to do, to integrate both the cluster and the PCM map as a heads-up display. I believe the technology to miniaturize the projector and display in color should be available and affordable this year. I was pursuing this when I did the thermal imaging camera (FLIR) on the GTS and wanted to overlay an infrared camera output over the thermal, for the best of both worlds.

also the cluster display of the compass can be viewed through your peripheral vision without taking your eyes off the road, takes some getting used to, but I can do it even with the phonebook on the cluster

Yes I'm aware of the compass setting in the cluster. Just saying if you're going to look down anyway save 200 bucks and look right. Different story for off road module.

Well if that is the case, why doesn't he just save $20,000 and buy a Durango? Some things to some people aren't always about the price, it is about perfection, quality, ergonomics, style, passion, etc... Which is why we have a lot of vehicle manufacturers and models out there. Why would you get the Turbo when you could same many thousands for a V8? And I apologize if it sounded condescending, I wouldn't try to do that, just pointing out a different perspective.

A $100k vehicle should come with this instead of nickel and diming the customer. If moneys no factor get one with a HuD installed. I'm sure somebody can manufacture it. Enjoy

I think a $100k vehicle should come with more than a compass...long legged, blue-eyed blond comes to mind right off the bat
