The CTT just arrived
I'm sitting here at work and just got a call that the '05 CTT I bought from Arizona just arrived. It's being dropped off at my parent's house since theres nobody at my house to sign for it. The next 2 hours are going to kill me! I'm so giddy to finally see it (bought it sight-unseen).

Well, the CTT arrived safely from Arizona. She was VERY dirty my father said so he had it all washed by the time I got home. It was the first time I had ever seen the car up close and I am, for the most part, happy with the condition of the car.
It is black on black with 38k miles on the clock. Full Techart kit w/ Techart exhaust and Techart 22" Formula wheels. The paint was in good condition with the normal 3-yr old swirl marks and a few rock dings in the front. A small curb rash on the right side lower body molding. You can't see it unless you go under the car so I'm not too upset. It didn't arrive with the temp tags so I can't really drive it much. It also only came with one key which upsets me since you guys have mentioned a new one is $400. The rear seat center vent looks like it was repainted and then had a bunch of tiny kid's fingers rub half of that paint back off again. The rear door ashtrays have the same weird paint that obviously didn't stick well. The left rear window screen is coming off on one edge but looks like it'll be easily retucked into the upper bar piece. That's about it. The car seems to run fine and the exhaust note is pretty cool.
I've never had a turbo car and the "whoosh" sound was weird at first. I thought there was a leak or something until I realized what it was. My Caddy has a supercharger and that sound is unmistakable.
Powerwise it is about what I expected. It'll take me some getting used to the tiptronic. I only took it for a spin around local roads and to get gas (it was on Empty and beeping at me). I honestly wonder if the shipping company siphoned out the fuel. Talk about holy big gas tanks! Easily over $100/fill up. This car would be soooo much more fun with a manual and another 100+hp/tq. Man I'm gonna miss the Caddy's 480rwhp/445rwtq. I wish I could convince the wife to let me keep both. We have the garage space so what's the big deal, right?
A couple quick questions:
1. Can one order the rear center vent and rear door ashtray plastic pieces?
2. Where can I get an owners manual? It didn't come with one and these buttons are confusing.
3. Aren't all of the Turbos equipped with power liftgates? Mine doesn't seem to work.
Looking forward to contributing to the forum?

Welcome to the family....
I used to live in Seattle (Northgate area), but now moved back to Taiwan.
What's your e-mail address? I can send you the pdf file on the owners manual, it's about 3.15MB.
or you can go to RennTech.org Forums http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php? you register it (it's free) and then you can have the access to download the owner's manual there.
I saw someone on the eBay selling the whole set of the trim for about $150. maybe you can find it there, or ask local porsche parts dealer, or Suncoast Porsche Parts.
I can't answer question #3, because I have the Cayenne S......
Goodluck and enjoy your Cayenne TT.

Thanks so much for the info. Good stuff! My wife is Taiwanese. We'll probably be making a trip out there in the next couple of years. Her grandma is getting up there in years.
