Lowering Cayenne Turbo

Hiyas folks!

I got a 2003 Cayenne Turbo, but for some local tax laws here in Asia, they limit the height of the car. Basically i cannot lower the car to the lowest settings on the car. Is there a way around it using vag-com?

TIA

Yes. But I haven't done it. I've spoken to others who have.

Interesting... I have a vag-com for my S4 and never plugged it into my cayenne. I spoke with Vag-com a while back and they told me it couldn't be done with their product. He did say however that the Durametric tool probably can lower it. I believe you can lower the VW Toureg only with the Vag-Com.....

I just ordered the lowering links from http://www.adjustableairride.com/ I should have them next week and I'll let you guys know how the install goes. I've been on the lookout for a used module and just could not find one. I helped my brohter install a renntec lowering module on his E63 and it was fairly straight foward. Took us around 3 hours beginning to end. I believe the install is similar on a CTT so it would not be hard to figure out.

Lowering module is the way to go honestly, unless you dont mind climbing under the car and messing around to get it back to stock height.

My '06 CTTS has a Rinnspeed lowering module and it's performed flawlessly so far.

What's the lowest setting it allows while driving? I have the TechArt module and I can only drive in the 'Low' setting. When I lock the CTT the module drops the car down to the 'Loading' level...I assume b/c it looks cool. I'd love to be able to drive around in this setting. Can I add the lowering links and still retain the TechArt module?

Will the links lower it anymore then loading level?
So you can drive around in loading level with the links correct?

I don't know the answers to your questions. I went with Rinspeed because the Porsche dealer I bought the CTTS from recommended that one because it was the least expensive (about $1500 installed as I recall).
I recommend you call Rinspeed with your questions. Their US office is in Florida.

I don't know what ou mean by links. The Rinspeed unit is spliced into the system, as I understand it. Each setting is 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 inches (don't remember exactly) lower than stock.

i am running the adjustable links.
very happy with the purchase. it does take a little bit of time tweaking to desired height during install but after you figure one corner it is practically effortless.

i keep my ride set to the low level which is approx loading level before

ride quality is good
i have not driven a CTT w/ a lowering module so i cannot compare but assume ride quality would be the same as you are are riding on the same shocks.
