Well I went to the Porsche dealer today with the wife and test drove the gts. I am looking for a replacement for the ML. All I can say is wow. This thing sounds like a muscle car. It was pretty loaded with the alacantra inserts on the seats, headliner and parts of the dash. It had the optional 21 inch rims and it was incredible. The handling for an suv was absolutely insane and the brakes when you stand on them will make you want to puke. I am totally impressed with this suv. With the suspension on the lowest setting you feel like you are driving something half of it size.

The salesman told me to wait for the 09 refresh so I cant imagine how much better that will be.

 

ya I agree the GTS is amazing. The options you mentioned like the 21 inch wheels, alcantara inserts ex, are all standard on the GTS as is the sport design package and a few others.

What you really want to make sure you get in the GTS is the PDCC, and the full leather option, and maybe even the PANO roof. Those are 3 options that set this or any of the Cayenne apart.

I was able to take the GTS on the track with a Porsche track instructor and can tell you was pretty impressed with the capability. I took it out like I would during normal track sessions with a little more weight and less traction and it was able to handle without feeling like I had too much over-s....

Hopefully I'll be invited to take the 2009 out as well.

not much change unless you are ipod hooked. a bit of updating on that and cell phone stuff; otherwise pretty much unchanged as it was just rolled out.

 

If you don't have an exact list of options then get an 08.
There are much better aftermarket stereo/nav's then the new 3.0.

They are giving away the 08's now.
