What have you paid vs. MSRP?

I am looking for opinions from other Porsche buyers on what they pay in comparison to the MSRP of the vehicle. Different purchases I have made are different, and this applies to the 997 models as well. Time to show off you negotiating skills!

Sounds right. I had a friend buy one for $1k under, but I had to get him that deal. I have seen some people claim they get 10% under, but I don't think that is even close to realism.

7% off MSRP, for 2008 Cayenne S, it was August 2007, which means the vehicle was just released...

Split the diff between dealer invoice and sticker. Build to order Cayenne S, April '08 delivery, no deposit for order. Worked out to about $5K off sticker, or just a touch over 7% off. I thought I got a very good deal, and have bought our other P-cars from the same dealer.

But I paid full sticker for our '05 Carrera and was happy to drive it home at that price. Build to order car came in, original purchaser didn't want it and salesman had to talk 3 others ahead of us out of the car. 2005 model year allotment filled for the year and would have had to wait for an '06. Better optioned than I could have done myself!

A friend got 10% of an 08 GTS, may be because 09s are in dealer showrooms now.

My dealer gave me $5000 off either a Cayenne Turbo or Turbo S because I am purchasing a 997TT coupe at MSRP - both vehicles heavily optioned, build to order, with no deposit. I probably could have done a little better on one or both of the cars but they have been great to deal with and I decided not to grind them on price.

7% off -09 GTS on an order

mark up for dealers is roughly 13%. Could have a tad more room on an '08 that has been on a dealer lot...but not much.

Dealt with a great guy in the US N.E. if you want to PM me I would put you in touch.
