You'll love the black full leather interior. I have it with a GTS red exterior & am very impressed. Looks like you have the bases covered on the options. I have a trailer hitch but will probably never use it; just happened to be on a very well equipped GTS I came across. I suspect it would be hard to add one, so just be sure it's not something you'll want down the road to tow a motorcycle, boat or whatever. I also have the manual tranny & would not trade it for anything, but I understand it's not for most drivers. Enjoy!

If you add the tow hitch option when the car is ordered from the manufacturer your standard tow rating will be 7,716 (lb). I was told by my dealer when I ordered my CS the tow rating would be significantly lower when adding it on later. Maybe as low as half.

I equipped my GTS in almost the exact same way, except I added the following:

4-zone AC - my version of cool is hot to the wife and kids
sat radio - I like XM and had no idea how much it would cost to add it from porsche after delivery (since its a new PCM system)

Even though I don't smoke, I kept the ashtray. I believe you lose a power outlet when you have the non-smoker option. And AFAIK, I think there's only 1 power outlet in the dashboard area and its in the ashtray drawer.

We picked up ours Wednesday with most of the same options, just color differences. There are two power outlets under the dash on the passenger's side, one in the ashtray (which you might be giving up) one below the center air vents for the back seats and two in the rear cargo area. Enjoy.

We got our Red on last Monday. I agree on the hitch. It was about 700 from factory. Dealer to add is over 1500. We also got the front and rear heated seats and XM radio. Had Sirius added to the 997 and it always has issues. The XM and IPod on GTS work flawlessly. The Bluetooth is amazing and takes my whole BB phone book. Handling is also awsome. Can't wait for 1000 miles to wind it up a bit. We also had our Escort ix hardwired yesterday.

XM is a must because it provides traffic information through the nav system. Worth the $750! I would take off the non-smoker package because you lose the 12v outlet above the shifter. Otherwise there are 2 in the passenger foot well but they are very hard to get to. Panoramic roof system is amazing. Just my $0.02

Thanks for all the comments guys. I actually signed the paperwork today so it's official. I have an Oct. 25 build date and should take delivery right around Nov. 25.

I omitted the nonsmoker package. Added crests in headrests.

I don't think I'll be towing anything, but def a good point to consider as I hadn't even thought about it in my original build.

I added XM and in the end, and changed the color to basalt black instead of met grey.

Slate grey is/was my all time fav Pcar color, but Met Grey never really grabbed me. Grey ext would have been hot if I did a havana/sand interior but since we now have a very young daughter at home, I felt black interior would be a bit more practical (though full leather and alcantara + 3 month old isn't the best idea in the first place, but what can one do)?

There was a met grey/chestnut turbo on the floor. Did look great, but though I didn't ask, I do not think Chestnut is available for the GTS.

Would have loved the pano-roof but maybe next time.

I got just about 10% off of MSRP though, so I feel (hope) I did pretty well on the deal.
