09 TTS - question about new Headunit (bluetooth, Ipod)

My dealership seems to have no idea about the new 09 touchscreen and bluetooth capabilities. They are telling me that porsche needs to provide some code to unlock it, ......

I have a Verizon blackberry curve. Should it be able to work with my phone, or do I still need a tooki kit.

I wonder if my only option is the tooki kit to get both bluetooth and an ipod connection working?

thanks for the help.

The dealer is somehow right.
As of now, if your vehicle was not ordered with the options you mentions, they can NOT retrofit the parts in. They think THEY could in in near future.
I have already retrofitted my (plain base V6) 09 Cayenne but I don't want to turn this into an ad post.

Activation codes? No clue about that. All I know is according to the Porsche training module for Septemebr all the phones I listed should work. Blackbury curve being one of them. I have not heard of any problems so far. Also just got back form PA for training and nothing was said about non-compatibale phones. I would tell the dealer to go through the study guide for this months test.

Picked up my '09 Turbo S last night and my 3G iPhone paired immediately, including the phonebook. In the past I have had trouble getting the phonebook to transfer in an Audi and a BMW but hadn't tried an iPhone. I plugged in my iPod and it worked great, listing all the songs on the touch screen.

great news. Problem is my TTS did not come set up with the IPod connection.
I will have to wait till they can do the upgrade or release code when ready.

Fred, other than the iPod connection, how are you liking it? I drove it home (150 miles) last night and thought it was an incredible improvement over the '06 Turbo S I left at the dealership. ALso, what lowering module did you use?
