Arling, yes I do love it but really am disturbed by the lags, lurching and rather odd shifting...I mean it is in 5th or 6th gear at 35 miles per hour.

On the highway it is the best but once you starti mixing highway and traffic it gets tiring.

Jamey, not sure what reset you are referring to...you mean with the key in the ignition and waiting for reset? Yes I tried that one ....also had the adaptive throttle mapping done.

Rides better with PSM off but all this stuff is workawrounds that I should not have to do with a $70K truck.

For all I know this problem would be even worse with a turbo..

I have v8 touareg and a cayenneS in the driveway right now. After having driven both extensively I am VERY happy I bought the Touareg. There is no denying the pepper has a nicer fit and finish, but the VW loaded with every option (bixenons, air suspension, locking rear diff, 4 zone climate, 4 heated seats and steeringwheel, towing, silver roof, premium sound, nav, etc...) I saved over $20k off a base model pepper and have no throttle lag problems. Driving the cayenne for a few hours around town today made me wonder how this problem has gone so long without resolution. I really like the vehicle, but the VW is just as nice in every way.

What I hate about both: you can't drive with the windows open w/o a big anoying wind blast to the side of the head and tons of noise.

and there is also the v10 deisel treg to consider...

My gf has a Toureg and I like it alot...but I was afraid I would regret it....I like em both...Toureg has some similar issues I have heard although maybe not as pronounced.

Glad you are happy with it. Great buy for sure.
