Question about the key?

Question about the key?
Is it just me, or does the key on the left side seem awkward. For someone who has switched to a Cayenne (or Porsche), how does having the key on the left side feel?
This is one of the major things stopping me from getting a Cayenne TTS. I can't see myself using my left hand everyday after being used to it on the right side.

Not at all, I found it actually more easier to get in and start, since I have keyless go, I enter half way with one foot on the brake turn the key and I'm off.
Get the keyless go and you will love it!

If its not a Porsche, its a Range Rover, BMW, or something similar. ABout a month ago it was a Lambo to, but not anymore.
And thats not the only thing stopping me, I am not the biggest Porsche fan.

It's so easy to get used to! I actually prefer it on the left now that I've had my CTT for a month. I'd like it on the right if it was built into the steering column like in many vehicles, but since it's in the dash it's awesome!

Is there any truth to the rumor that Porsche put the key on the left so that at race starts the driver could simultaneously start the car and operate the shifter sooner for getting off the line?

You get accustomed to it very quickly. After a few times, you'll start it up without even thinking about it.
Since you do have to hold down the brake to start the ignition, it does help to have it on the left side. After unlocking, I open the door, stick a leg in on the break, start her up, stand back and admire her while I warm up the engine.

Actually, in my case, I am using my right hand to put the key in, before I climb into the seat. As I climb into the seat, I simultaneously, put my foot on the brake and turn the ignition with my left hand, which requires no coordination, since the key is already in the ignition. However, having said that, what I don't like about the ignition being on the left side is that there is no lighting from the center console recess lights, since the steering wheel is blocking the light. Therefore, half the time, I am fumbling to find the ignition. Most of time, this problem occurs only at night or early morning when there is no sunlight.

Now that it is winter, I put in my spare key and never get into the seat, but go back inside my home until the car is nice and warm.
I heard I have an option to automatic warm my seat at a certain time, but I never figured out how to use this option.
