Wider Tires for factory 19" Wheels?
Hi Folks,
I know that the stock tire size on the 19" wheel is 275 45 19 but I wanted to put something a little wider on mine. The stock 18" size is 255 55 18 which has a diameter of about 29.04". The diameter of a 285 45 19 would be 29.10 and a 295 45 19 would be 29.45. The 285 would be nearly identical while the 295 would be slightly taller by about 4/10 of an inch. Has anyone run 295 45 19 on their 19" wheels with success? What is the wheel width of the factory 19" wheels and will it accept a 295 mm wide tire? I've checked and there seems to be plenty of clearance for the wider tires if I stay with the factory wheel (i.e. factory backspacing/offset).
Thanks for the input,
Paul
