I think there are better aftermarket wheels for the price point. The weight is not a big factor because of the type of driving most would do with the Cayenne. I too like the GTS wheels but in terms of my concerns for weight, forged, etc. it is not a factor for the Cayenne as opposed to my 997 Turbo.
Have you looked at the Ruger GTS replicas in 22" on ebay? It looks to be very nice quality. I know that GMP was selling them in Black at one time as well.
If you really must stick to these I would check out ebay or wait for take offs with hardly any miles on them for $2500-$2800 with tires.

I have the 21 Sport Plus wheels on my 08 Turbo. They're really nice wheels. In my opinion, the nicest stock wheels. Mine are not painted though, I prefer them silver. Goes well with my black exterior color.
Assuming the wheels are the closest thing to brand new then YES! you have a good deal. The cheapest set of 21 Sport Plus with Michelin tires sell around 5500$ on ebay from this trustworthy guy (go blindly with this guy, he's pro and honest):

I asked once at the dealer how much the 21 Sport Plus wheels go for: 8800$ with tires and TPMS!

Go for it! You won't go wrong. The wheels are stunning. Don't forget the Cayenne is one of the heaviest SUV on the market and you need good wheels., ideally stock wheels.
Don't want to sound like a smart guy but stock wheels are designed for a specific car thus it's inner structure is also different. Due to the car's mass, you'll have more weight per inch square in a Cayenne wheels than in a 911 wheel.
I am reading a lot about bent and cracked wheels with replicas and aftermarkets. Just check the topic "bent rims" and you'll see for yourself, many members experience similar problems. I don't think those wheels (replicas and aftermarket) are bad, they just cannot withstand the physics of a Cayenne. They would be perfect on any other sports car though.
