Sounds like another option Porsche came up with to make more $. Yes, its the regular bi-xenon but smoked in black.

No smoke on the plastic cover. It is painted on the inside as a trim paint where it would normally be silver it is black. the BMW guys have been doing this for a while to get the projector lights to stand out.
