mattjtaylor50 is infamous around these parts
if you don't have air suspension, coil overs are the best/only way to go
cutting springs will give you horrible ride quality

Don't cut your springs...

Kingshawn1234:

If you're looking to go with a lower ride height in your Cayenne - as mattjtaylor50 stated - don't cut your springs on your Porsche, you risk damaging more than just your ride quality.

You mention cost is an issue, but a Coilover Suspension may give you the look and ride quality you'll be sure to enjoy. KW Suspensions out of Germany makes an excellent Coilover Kit for the Porsche Cayenne. The KW part # is 35271014 and lowers the car 1.4" - 2.7" front and rear.

KW Variant 3 race technology for the road:

The KW Variant 3 is state-of-the-art technology... The separate and independent compression and rebound damping options allow a truly individual driving set-up. These unique systems with the 3 individually adjustable components, allows for adjustment of the compression of the damper in the low-speed range, while the high-speed set-up, so decisive for driving comfort, has been pre set by our engineers.

• Independently adjustable damping technology
-rebound and compression damping

• “inox-line“ stainless steel technology at no extra charge

• Individually height adjustable

• TÜV-tested adjustment range

• High-quality components for long term durability

• Detail instructions for ease of use

• Infinitely adjustable rebound damping

• 14- level adjustable compression damping

• Unique, independently functioning damping
power adjustment

I have KW V3 installed on my Cayenne, the look and ride quality are excellent, I think it rides even better than the factory suspension. If you want to lower the car, make sure you get the right stuff and do it the right way. DONT CUT THE SPRINGS, that will ruin the car....
This is link to the post of my car https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...rokit-1-a.html
There is still room to go lower but it would be a problem when entering the the underground parking.
