My GTS is more than comfortable in comfort. Don't know why an S would be any rougher.

I have CTT with air suspension - I think it is great. i assume you do not have the air!

06 Cayene S (50,000 miles) without air suspension. Good on the highway, fair around town, rough on cracks, bumps, etc. Have driven 08 and 09 GTS and S, both with adjustable and the ride is IMHO much better.

06 Cayenne S Titanium Edition (probably same as S except few accessories) w/ 20" option, tires are due for replacement.

My wife thought SUV would ride much smoother in general, mine is pretty tight/ love the handling.

I'm sure the ride quality would improve w/ the new tires though.
