Dynamat!! I have a 2008 GTS, the first thing I did when I bought the truck was gut the interior and dynamat everything. I'm still running the stock exhaust, but you can't even hear it unless the windows are open.

Man up.

LOL! Just kidding - I had the same issue on my 996TT. I ended up having to change the exhaust system. It was expensive to go through two systems but I wasn't enjoying the car when it was too loud and had bad resonance.

I don't know how much dynamat would help in this case, you definitely should change back to OEM system if the sound bothers you that much.

All aftermarket exhaust systems would get louder as time goes by, how loud? it depends on personal resistance level.

Im not to familiar with dynamat what is it exactly? i just did some small research and it said to block the sun from entering the car or sounding leaving ur car?
I got a catback system on a v6 is there anything i can put in the mufflers to make it a little more quiet?

It's like a asphalt tar stuff in sheet. The price depends on the place you get and the thickness, too.

Which would be cheaper solution? taking out all your interior and properly install the dynamat versus going back to OEM exhaust? Hard to tell at this point.....

As suggested..Your only option is Dynamat. Any audio store can install it for you.
But it's not cheap, especially if you're looking at doing the complete floor.

Not to mention that Dynamat is pretty heavy duty stuff, will add a significant weight to your cayenne if entire floor is done.

Dynamat it self isn't that expensive, maybe $200-$300 in material for your entire floor. The majority of the cost is labor to remove everything, dynamat, then reinstall your interior. I did the floor, firewall, doors, side panels, and roof. I get practically no road noise while driving and you can barely hear rain when it hits the roof!!

I have a set of Secondary cats if you want them. I'm not sure if they will fit on your V6.
