Rear-View Mirror Fell Off

So i go to get in my car today for work an notice my rear-view mirror is just hanging there. The bad and crazy part is they must use some super strength glue because it actually took a small watch battery size piece of glass with it. Anyone have this problem, im guessing no because i have never seen anything like it before. Luckly the glass didn't go all the way through so i guess im going to try and just glue the mirror back. I really don't like the idea of having to replace the whole windshield so lets hope this works.

Go to your local auto parts store and get some rear view mirror glue. This happened in my last vehicle, glass chunk and all.

check your car insurance.
I know with mine, for the yearly fee of 30 bucks, I get as many OEM replacement windshields free of charge for that yearly.
Plus I get unlimited windshield repairs whenever.
Might be something to check into, because a glued mirror worries me, especially at the high speeds I drive at.
wouldn't want that flying off and hitting me around a 90 degree turn.

Just happened to my 2008 GTS. Called service and was told to bring it in so they can take a picture to send to Porsche. Said they would have to replace the windshield under warranty. No glass came off with it.
