Question about cargo capacity.

Question about cargo capacity.
Hi all. I've got year old twins and was wondering if anyone has experience/complaints/comments with the cargo capacity of their cayenne. I've actually got one ordered, but my wife wasn't real happy when the dealer let me take one home and she saw the cargo area. Seems big enough for me.

I am able to fit two large dogs (golden retriever and german shepard) in the back and they manage well... obviously not as big as an exursion in terms of "headroom". Honestly I think it is more than enough space.. obviously you may need somthing bigger if you are driving with five people and luggage to Las Vegas or somthing.. lol

Depends on how much space you are looking for (obviously). What are you driving now? The Cayenne and most mid- to large-sized SUVs have less space than jumbo SUVs and minivans. The Cayenne has a little less space than the Range Rover (what I am driving now) and a lot less space than an Expedition, Tahoe, or Suburban. I think of the Cayenne, X5, and large wagons like the M-B E-class as being roughly comparable in cargo space. Of course you can add a roof rack and roof-top box. I've got one for skis and poles and I love it; you've just got to be careful to avoid garages and low roofs.
When I had a young child, our family of three filled an Explorer to the brim, but in those days we traveled with every variety of baby equipment known to man!
You didn't mention backseat comfort, which tends to also be important for families with young kids. Is the backseat and suspension soft enough for your wife? Did you go with the air suspension (good idea for comfort)?

We've got all the good stuff that goes along with twins. Her acid test is does it fit her dual stroller and still have room for a grocery/mall run.
The Volvo just barely works.
If I can get her OK to pull the trigger, we'll definitely be getting the air suspension with it.
Thanks again.

The Cayenne has very uncomfortable rear seating. Everyone who sat in my cayenne seems to agree. The rear seats are too upright and it doesn't handle bumps well. Obviously, the Cayenne is made for sporty driving and I love it for that reason but I would think twice if I have young kids who will fill the back seats. I have stock 20 inch rims on my S and MAYBE stock 18's will improve the ride.
