look on youtube at the vallet videos. they do some bad things. also i heard a story one time that a guy had his corvette valleted and he came out of the resteraunt 45 mins later and it was gone. another hour goes buy and the vallet kid comes back with his corvette. he was fired on the spot but nothing was broken with the corvette and so the owner just had to take it. and you know the guy beat the crap out of it while he had it.

Getting the wheel refinished, its perfectly fine...I was an assistant manager at discount tire for over 3 years. It wouldn't hurt to ask for a new one, but it will not weaken the wheel what so ever getting it refinished...

No offense but I would have paid the $150 myself and took the *** to court. They should stick to parking used corollas if they can afford damage claims.

That is so frustrating... A friend got his M5 back from the valet with the front bumper somehow caved in from underneath. The valet company refused to do anything about it initially, but eventually took care of it.

As a tangent but on a somewhat related note. Few years back on Valentine's Day I took a lady friend out to dinner. To beat the crowd I got a 5:30 reservation. We pull up and almost all of the valet spots in front of the restaurant, must've been 15 or so, were vacant. I just left the car at the valet stand without any "special instructions". Just parked and went in.

After eating we come out the valet lot was full of cars but mine wasn't there. I thought it was odd they would put us in overflow since the place was empty when we got there, but I didn't give it too much thought until we found ourselves on the corner for 3-4 minutes waiting for the car. (we were the only ones waiting for a car and there were two other valets at the valet stand while we waited)

Eventually I see the car round the corner and from about 50 yards away the driver is approaching us going 5mph max. My date and I are just looking at one another wondering what he is doing. Eventually the car gets there so we get in, and both her seat and mine have the seats adjusted in ridiculous positions. By this point I am thinking....seriously? As we are pulling away I notice the radio is turned off. I hit the on button and the volume had been set to max.

On another occasion I witnessed a valet make a verbal personal attack on a friend after he had expressed concern over how the valet had treated his car. Upon dropping it off, the valet had put the windows down and while the car was stationary was revving the engine excessively underneath the port cochere, all while staring at my friend and laughing. My friend expressed concern in a diplomatic way, and immediately a personal attack was issued.

Obviously not all valet drivers are negligent or spiteful, but I have seen some frustrating events over the years. The most common being extremely excessive speeds while traveling in reverse, massive clutch slip, and gear changes reverse/drive or drive/reverse while the car is moving.
