ok, in my 2005 turbo, i have found 2 x 12v power sockets in the boot (1 either side near the lights)
and 2 by the rear heated seat buttons (inbetween the rear of the front seats)
now where are they in the front (where they would be most usefull?) i cant find them anywhere, i dont have the "smokers package" and have bought a new radar detector that has the "cigerette" style plug, and i dont want to hard wire the detector, even cell phone chargers have these plugs...so why have 4 in the rear??
could they be hidden somewhere?

failing this i will get a couple installed in the glovebox out of the way.

There's a pair under the glovebox on LHD cars. Hopefully, it's similar on yours. It's way under there.

i had looked all over the front (including under the glovebox...)
i had no idea they would put it so far back/down...i had to lie on my back i the foot well to look there....but there they were 2 of them...

Looks like you've found 'em. I use those 2 (close to the passenger side footwell next to the console) for my radar detector as well. Works perfectly.

 

My 09 has only one plug on the passenger side!

look below the glovebox - once you get your head under there - hope you are limber- you will never forget

 

Under the glove box, all the way back on the side closest to the center hump. They have individual cover caps on them and the graphics are upside down. At least they are on mine. Sorry I don't have a picture.

I think you still have to get your radar hardwired if you want it to turn off when engine off....correct? Is there a way around this? TIA

 

ill just turn it off on the unit.........or unplug it compleatly so its not on view for window smashing *******s, when parked in london.
