Finaly picked up a Cayenne. Where to start?

2nd try... I posted last night, but I think I only hit preview and then closed the computer.

After looking at '04 and '05 TT's, I was set on an '06. Then I was stuck on getting an '06 Turbo S. Then somehow I talked myself into an '08 Turbo.

Meteor Gray
Black Full Leather
PDCC
etc.

The first step is to strip the chrome off the wheels and get clear side markers. I also want to get a cargo liner, but I'm not sure if the regular mat is good enough or if I want the "bed liner." I've thrown transmissions and all kinds of stuff into the back of my FX's... Anyone have the bedliner? Any downside, like when folding down the seats to fit larger items?

Then mods... I'm almost ready to order Evo intakes and FVD bypass pipes. I'm just not sure on diverter valves (should I bother) and who's retune to use. I was interested in GIAC because of their good reputation and their programmer module that lets you change maps. Pretty cool. EvoMS seems to offer more detailed power level information, but it sounds like they only have one map anyway and just list power levels with the same map plus intakes and plus intakes and bypass pipes.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

i loved how u said you talked urself into getting an 08. powdercoat your wheels a dark gray to match the paint i think that would look really nice (looking at about 120 a wheel, give or take). defintely get a software upgrade. and color the door sills and side sills black. if you want, i have brand new clear markers for-sale, didnt install them b/c i ended up coloring my factory ones black instead. pm me if your intrested in getting them.

Thanks for the input. The wheels will be done by next week. I am going with satin black though. The first Cayenne I drove was grey with grey Techarts and I didn't care for them. I may black out the handle and trim, but not on the top of my priority list. What software do you have?

I'll PM you about the markers.

I think Revo,Giac, and APR are the only switchable tunes out there. Someone else - jump in. The rest are flashes. I'm going with a Powerchip flash tune in a week. I'm getting a slight discount by jumping onto a M3 group buy in Houston.

Great looking Cayenne. Congrats.

I just ordered one of these liners - http://www.autosportcatalog.com/inde...pid=2140&cid=5 - for my GTS. I got it because of my dogs. The model I ordered covers the backs of the seats when they're folded, too.

Thanks for the input everyone. I am leaning towards GIAC, but curious about EvoMS. I like the idea of the flash tuner being able to change maps. It doesn't look like Revo or APR make tunes for the 4.8 motor anyway.

Anyone have experience with GIAC or EvoMS tunes? Experience with the intake?

Thanks!
