I think for most mild to even moderate trails the Cayenne will do fine.

I had the Scorpions on too; on the Cayenne Turbo. 42 and below they're amazing. Did some rally driving in a blizzard and have never felt more confident. As spring warms up they get squishy. :-( But I have a store house of tires in my condo to play around w/. About 16 right now. :-D

As far as offroading - I'm hesitant to take my 6 figure investment through the mud... Even though I KNOW it can do it. And I'm fairly certain I'm not alone here. That's one of the reasons I'm working on this 'Offroad Experience'. Thrash OUR cars. :-D But I want to design a variety of programs that are dynamic and exciting and bring people back! Opinions and feedback are more than welcome. :-)

I've taken mine on dirt roads out of necessity because that's where my land is located (East Texas). My brother's F150 got stuck the last time we went out there so last time I went it was in the cayenne. On the way out there another F150 4x4 turned around at this mudhole (I have no idea why). Anyone who's driven in places like that (I used to do pipeline work) knows you just get out and see where the best place is to go. I run Bridgestone all-season Alenzas on mine and it's been in much worse than this without any issues. I just slow down on loose gravel to keep it from kicking up.

I should add that this is one of the reasons I bought it. More or less the do-it-all vehicle. Heck I even tow with mine on occasion. I love the engineering that went into it.
