Since I have the sport button, my car always starts in 1st gear. So there is no issue with take off. It's always when im at cruising speed and need to kick off a couple of gears, the trans has to think about it for a second or two before it happens.
I havent tried driving with PSM off MUCH, but I don't think I would.
As far as the steering control, yes it does make a difference but my engine temperature passes the mid point when I drive manually, which makes me nervous. It hardly does when I drive in auto and hard.

The problem started when the truck had about 65,000. It now has 75,000 and the issue has only come up about 6 or 7 times in 10,000 miles but it is still annoying because it seems like something that must have been caused by the bypass (just due to the timing is too close to be a coincidence) and can probably be easily fixed.

I just had a full service at about 70,000, oil change, all error codes checked, etc. No issues reported whatsoever and I asked them to go double and triple check because I wanted to make sure nothing was wrong. Its not a huge deal bc 99.7% of the time the truck runs like a freight train on steroids, unbelieveable power, doesn't burn any oil like others have reported, starts on first turn every single time even in below zero temps.

Maybe I'll do the GIAC software as my next mod to see if I it could be a bug in the ECU that just throws the system off very infrequently.
