Catbypass - local performance muffler shop

I've got a buddy that owns a local performance muffler shop and is willing to do a catbypass for free as I always do his PC work for free.

He's done a few of these Cayenne's and says it's better to take the rear ones off than the front. I didn't want to question him there especially if he's going to do for free. Only thing I said was that the only kits I've seen online were to replace the front two cats. He insisted on saying nope, it's the rears that should to come out. He said there are no warning lights that come on inside and that it sounds great.

Any input on this? Any big reasons on why I should make him do the front two? Has anyone done just the rears and does it sound good?

The cat bypass pipes sold by Fabspeed, etc. remove the second set of catalytic converters.

Correct it is, as others have said, secondary cats, meaning the ones farthest downstream from the engine. Then you will want to get rid of the mufflers, I had magnaflows installed locally in Denver as well.

I'm sure removing both is even better or removing both and putting one set of high flow cats in place.

If you're interested PM me for contact info, (I don't know board rules about posting local business info) he's a great guy and has been around for some time now. I met him 15years ago at his shop...don't know how long he's actually been there, I'm sure a few years before that.

I have Magnaflows on my wifes car along with secondary cat bypass pipes from Fabspeed. I must say her truck sound more aggresive than mine with the Techart Exhaust.... Here's a pic of her last custom exhaust with Magnaflows. (she recently got a new upgraded version of this one because her last one got damaged)

And there won't be... you need to have a custom setup built for your car.
