yesterday a 2011 X5M pulled up to me at a stoplight, he rolled down his window, so I did as well. He said "wow man nice car and I love your breaks, is that thing fast?"
I said thank you and YES. he said "wanna see who's quicker, me: why not, sure."
light turned green, and we both raced forward. these are back roads around where we live, so no traffic, barely any cars at all, but we have about 100 yards to accelerate.
After the first 50 feet, where we were almost dead even, me slightly ahead, I then pulled away substantially by the end of our little adventure.
We stopped ahead and he said wow. Great car!!

if that's what happened in a short straight line test, I'd really enjoy a nice track test.

It would be nice to see a head to head on video. The stuff that I've run across pertains to the previous CT or CTS vs the X5M/X6M (mechanical twins).
