tax? not if title is left blank/gift or you actually never register it... upgrades=wheels/tires usually and those usually come off so not much of a loss there especially if you get the wheels used off of here I can list several of my past cars, but don't think it would be a wise decision if you know what I mean

Concerning the Cayenne, I think I will offer low $80's and see what happens. I think within a year the car is going to drop to high $70's so may just wait a bit and see if the 11's cause a big drop in pricing.

 

update: the 09 w/ 950 miles sold for $95,500 so i'm still in the market. at least that figure gives me the going rate...

 

It depends how bad you want this; for me, I usually just buy with little premium if I really want it.
However, things can wait if I'm not in too hurry.

 

Time is on your side... if you can wait a bit longer, your negotiating position will strengthen greatly when dealers need to move the older gen model.

 

While you obviously want to wait to strengthen your buying position, I can tell you that the 09 Turbo's are rare

Agree. And as special as this car is the new and improved, (we can argue aesthetics til the cows come home) is right around the corner.

 

The best way to figure out the real pricing of the vehicle is to get hold of auction data. That's what dealers are paying for the vehicle and what you can use to figure out the best retail offer for one.

 

That was auction data. It sold on manhiem for $95,500 and actually saw it now through Chicago motors for $105... $10k profit, not bad if they can really get that much for it.

 

Sorry, I thought that was a dealer retail sale. Looks like you're on the right track.
