I am now going to deviate away from current model years, but I just sold a 2006 Lexus RX400h, which was faster than the RX350's and bought a 2004 CTT. Totally different vehicles. For starters, the Lexus weights 4400 while the CTT weighs 5200 and the tow ratings are 3500 and 7700 respectively. The primary reason I made the swap was that I wanted to tow my 996TT to the track and back and the Lexus could not cut it.

The one other thing I really disliked about the Lexus was the way it went through turns -- just terribly soft and leany. It inspired no confidence when driven fast in anything other than a staight line.

On the plus side for the Lexus was 23.5mpg average with spirited driving vs 16mpg in the CTT.

All in I think the CTT is a much better vehicle. Better engineering, better style, better wow, better towing, better offroad, worse gas milage.

I have to defend the Lexus on this one. First you can't beat Lexus' customer service they always give me a loaner and it's a new Lexus, last time Porsche gave me a KIA F'ing Rondo. Second Reliability Lexus all the way. Third I don't think any car depreciates faster than the Cayenne.
Now all that being said if my wife didn't buy me my 996tt, demand the Lexus and drive 100 miles to work everyday my a$$ would be in a Cayenne TT

Two diffenent vehicles that can't really
be compared besides the rear end look on the new 2011.
Fit and feel isn't even close. Ride and performance again not similar.
But I guess if we are comparing these two
let's compare the phantom to a merc 500.
Ha ha
