Cayenne Haters

At what age did you stop being immature? My wife wants to know if there is any hope for me.

Maybe I've been lucky but the response from everybody I've seen has incredible. I've received about 5 thumbs up, a couple cars "circling" mine on the freeway and giving me an approving nod, a couple "nice ride" comments, etc. It is a head turneer or sure! I've only had it for a week as well...
Plus everyone in my car club loves the thing! It earned a TON of respect this past weekend when we went for "fun run" in the country. I easily kept up with my buddy's E39 M5 on coil over, an early '90s Carrera and was walking away in the corners from modded E30's and similar cars. On the straights it pulled on my buddy's M5 with a few light bolt ons.
Maybe it is different where I am?

I don't think his post was that bad.
But let's face it, when the Cayenne first came out, a lot of people hated it, myself included. Then I drove one. Find me another off-road capable SUV that drives like that on the street, plus such a gorgeous interior, and I'll eat my window sticker!
What do you say?...
Well, I think it's the best selling Porsche ever (based on sales per year, not total sales of the vehicle).
ps. I've driven the Toureg (they are NOT the same by any stretch of the imagination).

Agree. I was disappointed with how it looked when it first came out. But it grew on me. Better to have a design that will grow on you rather than something that looked great in the beginning but wears out (and aged) after some time. My wife loves the leather interior and the alcantara headliner. And I love the power and the way it handles for an SUV.
