And I was beyond impressed. We were looking at it because my lady is due for a new car and she wanted a Range Rover Sport, but I asked her to at least try it. She still wants the Ranger Rover even though I think we both agree the Porsche is the better SUV, but man if I had to have an SUV I would would buy one in a heart beat.

Ok, if you both know the Porsche Cayenne S is better then why do you still want a Range Rover?

the rr sport is an esthetically pleasing car. But you cant compare it to the Cayennes quality and feel.

I just went through the exact dilemma with my wife. We bought the Cayenne Turbo(three week ago).

You wont be let down.

If you could convince her to get the porsche I would pay for your next track day, but trying to convince a woman once she has made up her mind is something I have yet to be able to do.

I loved the Cayenne as a baby hauler even though I think my 911 make a great baby hauler too, but she seems to think the RRS gives her some sort of bad *** soccer mom street cred LOL.

So I will get her the inferior car and when I add a boxster spyder to the collection she wont be able to say much

I had an '04 Cayenne Turbo. In '08 I traded it for a RR Sport Supercharged. I couldn't wait to get back to a Cayenne. I kept it for less than a year and traded it on an '09 Cayenne Turbo S. (took a real beating on the RR) I could not stand the loose steering. It felt like it was all over the road. Make sure your wife drives both vehicles. If I sneezed while in the RR, I would end up drifting into the other lane. I will admit the RR is a very good looking vehicle and has more prestige among the ladies. Last week we ordered a Cayenne Turbo for my wife so we will be a 2 Cayenne family. She was the reason I got the RR and she was as happy as I was to go back to the Cayenne.

keep these coming

I'm going to make her read this thread. In the end she normally gets what she wants and in return she never says no to me when I want to do something silly like make a 911 my most practical car

Range Rover might as well go buy a jeep. Save 40 k for wrecker service you will need it for RR and Jeep alike.

RR has got to be the worst SUV made.

DONT DO IT!!!!... my buddy paid $90K plus for a RR SC... and said it was the WORST money he's EVER spent. coworker with a RRS... same...

one of the best looking SUVs out there on the market, but I'd only get it on a 12 month lease....

Conversely, I checked out the new Cayenne today. WOW... was I impressed. The features, functionality, everything. New DFI engine and lighter weight = better gas mileage. I love the rear lights and LEDs. I love the new front. Everything about the car. The new interior is great too. The one thing I couldnt get over on the old Cayenne was the lizard scale dashboard. Much better now!!! I was so impressed, that the wife and I may just put off our new SUV for a while to get the new Cayenne. Do whatever you can to head in this direction. You wont regret it!!!

Same here. Best friend of mine sold his RR last year - it was his dream car, and nothing but trouble. He now has a Honda Element!

I may as well add to the gloom. My business partner went from an 05 Grand Cherokee to a RR Supercharged. Owned it less than a year before the repairs and costs drove him nuts. He want back to a Grand Cherokee (08) and is much happier.
