PTV or PDCC

Finalizing my build tomorrw for January build!!

Have to decide on PTV or PDCC - Yes i want both but I need the mutlfunction steeing wheel. I can't have both so which one am I going to feel and notice daily?

PTV sounds like lots of fun around corners and because of the ability to steer much more accurately.

Feeling nearly no body roll with PDCC sounds equallly exciting, but may not neccessarily help me drive safely and better at high speeds because it is a synthetic compensation of physcis.

Please advise anything but both

i choose PTV for my wife's cayenne S built. im guessing that there will be aftermarket anti roll bars in the future if we want less roll.... but still it isnt the same as pdcc...

Wonder how many ppl actually buy 1 or both options?

Didn't see any dealership order one of these two options here in bc , where we get snow during winter time

I chose to get PTV plus. From experience at the track, I feel that if I had to choose one or the other PTV Plus would be more enjoyable. When entering a corner you will definitely feel the difference and feel much more confident turning into the corner. When you think that the Cayenne won't be able to take the corner cause of understeer, PTV plus will kick in and pull the car in. Enjoy!

I was in the same boat for my CTT; wanted the heated wheel and couldn't see paying full freight for PDCC & PTV so went with PTV, most bang for the buck. Car should be in next week!

go for the PTV. not only does it help with turning, it also adds a locking rear differential that will increase traction in snow/off roading.

Multi-function steering wheel

Does have the MF wheel prevent you from having PVT and PDCC, or is it a cost issue?

it's both. I need the MF wheel but cant justify paying extra without the sport package.

We got both on our '11 Turbo and the MF wheel...great package...makes no sense that the sport package limits you on the steering wheel...I agree - MF wheel is a must. But then so are PDCC and PTV! Sorry if I am absolutely no help! That is the problem...all good options...but cost $$. That being said, I really feel that those two options are well worth it, and if there is something else you can cut, it would be worth it.
Just my 2 cents.

I just picked up my '11 Cayenne S - custom ordered with both PTV Plus and PDCC. Bottom line: awesome decision to get them both. I live in the mountains of UT and the winding roads up and down in/out of the valley were murder in my prior car (2010 RR SC) which is why I got the Porsche w/ both options. The car is like on rails and with virtually NO roll whatsoever as I snake up and down the highway (go to the Porsche website: the roads used in the videos to demonstrate the advantages of these systems are identical to what I drive). I also got them both so that when the snow really falls (not the few inches we've gotten thus far), the additional traction/torque/differential advantages of both systems will be of great use.

I agree that most if not all "on the lot" cars don't have both, but if you are ordering, get both while you can (and make sure you order the roof rails, too - they are NOT available after market and most dealers did not order them so there will be some very expensive CTT's out there w/ ugly third party options that wrap into/under the door frames).

Ok-comput, you won't like my answer but I will give my my honest answer. Get the Cayenne S with both performance options if cost is an issue. A CS with PDCC/PTV will handle better than a CTT without PDCC. There is a reason why PDCC is 3.5K option just like why there is a reason why the BURM is an 5K option.

You know, it's pretty ridiculous that Porsche bundles PDCC and PTV into a package which saves you money but only offers it with a steering wheel that many don't want because they loose the multi-functions and many others don't want because it isn't heated.
They shouldn't offer a steering wheel on a vehicle of this caliber without the paddles in the first place. Those other things, whatever they are called, are totally worthless.

copasettic222: I have the leather wrapped multi-function heated steering wheel on mine - not sure which steering wheel you are writing about.

He was referring to the Sport Paddle Steering Wheel, which is bundled with the PTV and PDCC in the sport package. If you want the MF wheel, you need to buy the options a la carte.

Which adds $1500 to get the same options!
