What is deal with Sand Yellow?

I ordered a sand yellow CTT and it arrived at the dealership 3 months ago. I bailed on taking delivery. Economy had me worried. To this day, the dealership has this Cayenne for sale and it is the ONLY Cayenne they now have. This is one of the top 3 dealerships in the USA. So why is noone buying the car color? Is it that bad? Yellow is a b*tch for resale, and I'm back thinking about the car again.

You have 3 Porsches in your stable with the oldest being a 2010 so the economy is just fine! Go buy the yellow Cayenne and put some 20"+ black wheels on it and you'll be just fine. Dont forget to post pics too

It already has 22" black rims. Why go down in size?

I don't have the 2 RS yet either.

Did you not lose some money ? My dealer told me if I should not take delivery of what I ordered, then every month that it stays on their lot, they pay taxes on it and will deduct that from my 10% down payment that I was asked to make at the time of the order.

I don't have to give them money when I order a car.

Depends; how did you spec it out?

How much is your dealer asking for it?

MSRP was $116k. I built the car. Carbon, camera, 4 zone, etc.
They are asking MSRP, but I don't have to pay that number.

There's no doubt on that. But, that isn't the question.

I think it is more configuration than color.

ablsolutely not! Personally,my favorite color is the yellow. It is just at that price point, Someone could order the acoutrements they want and have it exactly how they like it in about 3-4 mos. For instance.. I need Voice control that cannot be added... or at least what they say.

I think it would come down to options. Everything is personal preference.
I am guessing that if I backed out of mine, it would sit, for the main reason of the cost.
Maybe someone wouldnt want the pdcc or burm or ptv or premium package, or stuff like that that I built in my CTT.

Yellow is a bold color, maybe people dont like that...

Everything is just personal taste.

I am thinking you went with PPP on Mockingbird correct? That's where I have ordered mine from. They tried to sell me yours I think, but if I am correct in stating, it has the paddles correct and no PDCC or PTV? I wouldn't want a cayenne if it didnt have the multi function, that's my personal taste or the other options.

Spec'd well though.

I would guess options. My Yurbo...Yellow Turbo....certainly generates polarized opinion- either loved or hated. But in a parking lot of lookalike SUV's it always draws comments. It is a bold color choice and does I think make the statement that the owner is very confident and doesn't much give a rat butt about public opinion.

Seeing my Mello Yellow in the garage always brings a smile to my face.
