Jet Black with Black Leather

Since everyone has been so nice to share their opinions on their Cayenne (which really helped me) I wanted to take the time to post some quick pics and thoughts on the my new S.

The ride is unreal, coming from a CLS I was a bit worried that I would miss that low tight ride going to the Cayenne but boy am I surprised how close it is to a true sports car. I also was worried that I missed by not getting a Turbo (and if you can swing the extra money than I would go for that!). However, I am so pleased with the S, it is plenty of car for a day to day car.

A few of my favorite features already.
-full leather is worth every penny
-that silly dashboard compass looks so cool (useless but cool)
-so happy with the 20 inch Spyder wheels (wanted the 21 turbo's but never will look back)
-jet black is a great if you like dark colors
-PCM is better than any other (MB, Toyota, BMW) so modern and easy
-back seat is huge
-love air suspension and the modes (comfort, normal and sport) feels like 3 cars for sure
-I didn't want LCA but came in my package and it is very cool

Issues so far
-ipod has worked and not worked. sometimes it just doesn't play the song. When it works it is awesome.

feel free to ask questions as it is the least I can do for all the great advice I received.

Looks fantastic! Very similar to my build, I didn't get the Exterior Package in High-gloss Black, but I think that it looks really sharp with the 20"RS wheels with b/w center caps. Nice!

Long- did you install yourself? If so, can you post any comments on difficulty, how to, etc? Thanks.

I didn't as I ordered them from suncoast and just asked the dealer to install while prepping the car. He said it was a 5 minute job

congratulations. Enjoy the beauty safely for years to come in good health. Any plans to clear-bra the front to protect it from rock chips ?

Beautiful car! I am configuring a CS for my dad and getting those same wheels with the Dark Blue Metallic (my CTT on order is JBM with the Turbo II wheels).

What % off did you get? How is the ride on the 20's?

I was able to get 5.5% back in september. The ride on the 20's are great. Although I will tell you that I have been riding on comfort with low level 1. That feels very tight to me.

I think the LCA is a great option, especially for my wife. I swamped it in place of white dials ...

Can I turn LCA off if I want?

There are three very reputable companies that I know of who offer clear paint protection film commonly known as clear-bra. The thickness is the same on all these three: 3M, Ventureshield and XPEL.

The film is permanent and if maintained well (with good wash/wax technique using the right products) can be kept in good condition for a long time without yellowing. Like paint, films can show swirls too. Not all films swirl easily. This is a function of the durometer (hardness) of the surface. If the film is soft and pliable, it will resist swirls and scratches to some extent because it "gives" when something hits it. But if you use a cheap microfiber towel to clean out all the dead bugs without proper lubrication and prep it WILL swirl the film. These films have a clear coat and it can be buffed just like paint should you ever need it.

The problem facing this industry is all the bad PR they get due to installations done by several inexperienced or poorly trained mobile installers. That is where you see a lot of the flaws including orange peel, stretch marks, unsightly seam marks and deep razor cuts on the paint. It is so crucial for anyone seeking clear bra installation for their new or used vehicle to not rely solely on pricing.

I have it on both my 911s and if interested PM me I can send you about 10 to 15 pictures during the installation and final product. Although I wrapped the whole hood on the 911s as they are low to the ground, for the cayenne just thefront bumper and half the hood should probably suffice. It will cost you about $500.00 to 600.00 but well worth it if you plan to keep it for long.
