56 is fantastic for the lawyers as technically they only need ONE person per filed state .

Anyone see the article in the recent issue of Excellence Magazine (April 2011) starting on page 123...

I sent that to the attorney's I am working with here in Cali. Too funny that article would come up the same week we are filing the class action. LOL

Well, I did count 78 Cayenne owners in the garage section of this forum so that is pretty good percentage wise...

Too bad the members section does not include car type that is search-able.

dougster... im an 06 cayenne S owner in new Albany, recently was outed $1695 at tom wood porsche in indy on a trip when coolant pipes went. terrible customer service, terrible mess left on the vehicle, just bad experience in general. love my car, dont like the fact porsche doesnt keep a commitment to customers spending 83k on a vehicle. totally down to have my name added into the class action suit. please let me know if there is anything I need to do.

best,
Lance

My coolant lines failed before my ownership but I have the documentation of the resulting $9000.00 dollar plus repair (tranny seal let go immediately looks like), would it be wise to contact them to add to the number of failures? Obviously it was repaired under warranty so no out of pocket expenses were incurred by previous owner. I'm not liking the way that Porsche seems to be dodging what it knows are real problems (coils, shafts, bushings, pipes etc). I would be more than happy to provide any information to help out.

Guys in Ohio: I will check the District Court docket monday but Im guessing Porsche North America has been served with the complaint and summons. If so Porsche has 21 days to serve its answer to the complaint.Im not very computer savy but I guess we could scan a copy of the complaint so that everyone here could view it?

Also, Excellence magazine has done a great job in documenting the coolant line issue.Should we let Excellence magazine know about the federal class action lawsuits filed in New York and Ohio?

I forwarded the article to the North East councils today (Thanks reborn for sending). They were already aware of it. Concerning contacting them, mixed feelings on that right now.

That really sucks that they over charged you. This is precisely why I proactively got mine replaced for about half of what they charged you, because they know that you really don't have much choice.

I would still do what ever you can do to get them to drop the price if you can. They are absolutely raping you on those charges.

Yep , RAPE. My stealership quoted me $2000 but I can't hold them to it. Mine haven't cracked yet <knock-knock>
