how much for Cayenne Turbo brakes
I have a 2009 cayenne turbo and need to replace both pads and rotors front and rear. I've been $3800 at dealers and $3000 at indys. Yikes! Is this a fair price?

No, hell no. Up here they want $1800 for the full set, parts and labor. In Arizona the dealer wanted $1500.
But I bought all my parts already. That should save me $500. And I am looking at $300-400 for labor and maybe $40 for fluid at an indy shop. I haven't figured my total yet but it in well under $1300 for front & rear, all new rotors, OEM parts.

No, not this time. At the stealership they provide me with Porsche parts numbers and their hihgly marked up prices but I bought these from the independent shop--who will putting them on anyway.
One has to be careful when ordering brake parts. There seems to be some overlap and confusion in pads between models.
Suncoast has some kits but I decided to stay local just in case there was an error in parts. I didn't want to have to eat it.
Even the local independent guy struggled with the options. He even figured out the differences between parts from the same manufacturuer (Pagid); however, I ponied up the extra coin and went OEM as much as I could.
Brakes are too important to skimp on. I am haiving "German Steel" do them in Anchorage. The owner Gregg Sykes used to work at the dealer and another Porsche specialty shop and he raced cars.
