I think it is going to take some getting used too.

 

I was at Leipzig the day they announced this and i visited the plant.
all the info in the article is true exept it will be released in 2013. they will also start making the chassis of the cayenne and panamera there alongside the cajun.
i also glimpsed a light blue cayenne, don't know if they will introduce new colors for 2012

 

i agree. when the 2011 model cayenne runs it's life cycle it's going to be 6-8 years from now and things will change dramatically; i wouldn't believe speculation 2 years from now let alone 6-8.

plus at the end of the day, i would doubt that the cayenne cannibalizes much of the sales from the VW toureg, i mean come on honestly, how many people actually consider one or the other? It's not even in the same class. Given this, they're just giving up SUV sales to BMW, MB, etc.

companies are in it to make money, they're be so stupid to axe the cayenne.

 

+1, the persons who decided to axe the Cayenne will be axed themselves first.

 

I agree. VW's corporate goal is now to become the #1 auto maker, and volume increase from Porsche's products will only help.

 

So when will we get more specs on this model?
