Go for a test drive with both set-ups before you buy. The springs are absolutely fine .. it is a Porsche after all, but I think you will find a noticable difference. It is all about personal preference.

This is a trip. I like the air suspension on my E63 but most folks on MBWorld would love to replace the airmatic with a standard coilover system. I've only test drove the C-GTS so the air suspension is all I know. While parked, can you lower a GTS as low as the RR Sports? Sometimes those things look super dumped to the ground and it looks cool to me.

Getting in and out of the SUV using the loading hight is quite abit easier than at any other setting.

It floods in my neck of the woods from time to time. I've had to drive through some water that would have left my wife's expedition stuck waiting for the water to drain. It's especially fun doing that in unison with the redneck trucks here in H-town - it blows their minds. I also have some property in east TX that the offroad settings are worth their weight in gold at times. The adjustability is very nice just in daily driving for the damping. I play with that more than I thought I would.

Popping her up one level seems to smooth out rough roads and I like it.

Ride quality is better with AS. You get what you pay for. The chance of maint. later might be higher but it's worth the option.
