Went to CTT today and.......

ozr- tough to argue with ya, as it certainly sounds like you know what you're talking about!
However, my settings don't entirely get stored to the key. It does retain the seat settings (I valet quite often and notice when the seat is adjusted), but the radio presets/settings don't always stick. Case in point, I tried to add a new radio station at least 3 times, only to realize I kept forgetting to store to the memory buttons to make it stay. Occasionally, even my own last seat settings won't stick with the key. Not sure if this is a problem or not, but like zspeed, I just hit the seat memory button and all is well again.
Thanks for the detail.

Hi All,
I completely agree on the control module explanation, and I don't believe this issue is related to low battery voltage. I noticed that my '11 CS wasn't storing seat positions, radio settings, vehicle menu stuff, etc. They would be wiped nearly every time I started 'er up, but not every time.
Here are the service comments from my dealer -- the problem is now completely fixed, and no new parts were required. HTH.
Cause: Control unit for seat memory incorrect basic setting and coding.
Correction: Attempted to clear fault memory. Fault would not clear. Started guided fault finding. Per test plan checked function of fore aft seat adjustment. Found working normally, was about to replace control unit per test step two. Tried resetting to factory setting and recoded control unit manually, then ran normalization procedure on seat. After procedure completed, fault would clear and seat memory functions were available and working as specified.
