Mobridge, iTronic or Nav-TV for iPod Connection?
Interested in hooking up my ipod to PCM 2.1 ('08), looking for recommendations between iTronic audio (from CarTronics.com), Mobridge A2010-PSH, or Nav-TV OPI-P iPod adaptor.
Any suggestions between the 3 or any others to consider?

Installed an iTronic in my '08. Works great! Install is pretty straight forward, if you are so inclined to do it yourself. Ran into a couple snags along the way, but the iTronic guys were more than helpful, and had it up and running in a couple hours.
My only complaint, is having to set iPod to shuffle every time I restart the car. More of a PCM issue, than an iTronic one, but something that I really wish could be always "on".

Re-starting the thread - quick question about the Porsche factor fitted iPod connection. My wife just arranged for me to have one installed in my '08 Cayenne, but I've read some bad things about it. Is it true that the main dealers only offer an FM modulated system and is the signal/sound quality can drop in more remote or built up areas? Trying to decide whether to get a refund and go for the Denison Gateway with bluetooth phone kit instead
Any thoughts would be great!

AFAIK - you're correct, and the Porsche retrofit is an FM modulator system, which means you have no control over the iPod from the PCM or steering wheel controls. That disqualified it for me immediately. I wouldn't want to be fidgiting with an iPod while driving.
I imagine if you get to an area where there are many high-power FM stations in the area, the input stage of the PCM/tuner could start to overload and that would effect the sound quality (it does on regular FM when I pass the transmitter tower of a local FM station.)
I have the Dension GW500 (and BTA-1500 Blue-Tooth adaptor for phone), and am quite happy with it.
It changes songs quicker then the standard CD changer. What can take a few seconds is loading in a sorted list of albums/artists/etc - if like I do you have a 30GB iPod that is fairly full (has 27 days of audio on it according to iTunes.) Not really annoyingly slow, the longest I've waited is about 10 seconds (music is still playing from my last selection, so I'm not tuneless for 10 seconds.)
One other thing - if you don't have an iPod - you can achieve iPod like capabilities really cheaply using the USB memory stick option. A 16GB memory stick can be found now for about $16 delivered.. and that holds a whole buncha music. If you decide to go that route - post it, and I'll give you some clues on how to organize the USB stick to make the music easily findable.

i used a Nav-TV product to put satelite radio in PCM 3 of my turbo - piece of junk and lousy support from the company. i pulled it out in 2 weeks and couldn't be bothered even talking to them again - sunk cost that was toast. i wouldn't touch anything of theirs - & i am an overly polite CDN
