Bore Scope for Oil Consumption?

Bore Scope for Oil Consumption?
Dealership suggested running a bore scope to inspect for potential problems in order to trouble shoot a very excessive oil consumption issue (approximately 2 quarts per 500 miles).
I was thinking most likely this will be turbo gasket seals, or something in the cooling lines for the turbos. I have no dripping oil, though under boost I smell a foul amonia smell.
I was thinking that anything in the cylinders would be unlikely... can they check how effective the rings/seals are via a bore scope?
Thank you in advance for any and all responses!
