But Mothers Billet metal polish made it shine like almost brand new, I am still not happy, those lips are ruined

i have noticed without it, it really gets bad after a while.
My sisters wheels are ruined and i think she had to get it refinished.

You have to love the HRE polished lips. They turn hazzy as soon as you finish polishing them again. DEETZ does not have the lips clear coated, as HRE advises against it due to stone chipping and cracking on of the clear coat from road debris. It is ok DEETZ, they will be as good as new once som eelbow grease it put to work!

Thats why I got smart on my 3rd set and spent the overpriced bux for chrome . They look like this everyday with just quick detail and a paper towel

Evan
PS-That photo is after 10,000 miles and nothing but washes on them (no polishing)

Yeah but curb chrome and try fixing it
HRE too far from Dubai so Iwnet polished again
Deetz- put a metal sealant after you polish them

I have curbed my chrome lips and had the lip replaced. After having two sets of polished lips and now two sets of chromed.. I would opt for chrome 100 times over trying to keep polished lips looking good. Out of the four sets of wheels I have had I only curbed one. So it is not that big of an issue unless you have a habit of curbing your wheels.

I'm with Evan on this one...

Oh, and you should never clearcoat polished lips. HRE, Kinesis and others all say no...

Send these to be chromed Deetz or sell them and get TechArt wheels. I had the same issues with my HRE 540r's on my, now sold, '03 turbo. Wheels look great for about an hour and then revert to their hazy look after a short drive.

You need some driving lessons on how to avoid curbs Monsour??
Chrome lips are replaced as easy as polished, you just don't have the oportunity to fix them if the damage in minor... O well, I would much rather have to replace a lip if by slim chance I grab a curb, then have the lips look like crap everyday....

Deetz, Send me your wheels I will fix your lips so you NEVER have to worry about them again! I might even consider paying for shipping since you're such a cool guy!

I'll even send you my 18's to use while I have your wheels!
