Cayanne Coolant question

Hello,

My 08 Cayenne S is running low on coolant... May I just add any coolant bought from an automotive store (50/50 diluted) or do I have to get it from the dealer?

Thank you in advance.

Get OEM coolant. If you are low on coolant, you have a leak somewhere. Get it checked out.

The best replacement for the OEM coolant Havoline OAT (which is impossible to find in the US) seem to be Motul Inugel Optimal Ultra (as recommended by Redpants and others)..
Unfortunately this product seems to be discontinued. Chevron Delo XLC is also an OAT and looks and its specs look pretty close to the OEM product.
Are there any issues with using this product (Delo XLS) as a replacement for the OEM coolant?

Do not put just any coolant into your CS.
The coolant inside your CS is not same as the off shelf Walmart style coolant. They will react with each other and you will get the fluids and then your problems will really start.
Go to NAPA Auto parts, or online, get yourself few bottles of Pentosine Pentofrost E (comes in 1.5L bottles or gallon). The pink coolant. Then dilute it with distilled water 50/50 (or 70% coolant / 30% dist. water if you live in cold place), then add to your car.
