06 roof rack options

I have an 06 cayenne s titanium. It doesn't have a roof rack, but rather the recessed track on the roof. (can take pics if nec.)

I feel like it's been discuss before, but what accesories will I need to install a roof rack.

I want something modular so I can switch between ski rack, box, kayak rack, etc.

I have a Thule system which takes 3 minutes to put on and take off. I use it for everything from carrying 2 canopies to soccer games now, surfboards in the summer and a big snowboard box with 4 snowboards during winter. Love it.

thats the kind of response i was looking for!

i have been looking at the website... looks like i will need the 460 legs with a car-specific installation kit, and then a cross bar, depending on what type of rack i will be using.

just curious, how much are you looking for the factory cross bars?

I use the Tracker II bases on mine with the "oval" crossbars. I only mount skis, so I use the 6-ski carrier that slides out to the side to make loading easier.

It's surprisingly low. There's certainly some noise, but it's really not bad. I hardly notice it unless the sunroof is open, which isn't that often in the winter.
