increasing boost??

Hey all,
So my diverter valves are on the way! And I figure while I'm digging around in there I can maybe run the wastegate lines to a manual boost controller and maybe modulate a few more pounds of boost (safely) into my beast. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this, besides increasing boost with a tune. And what are the over boost parameters that will cause a CEL if met? I know right now my boost hits a max of about 11-12 psi (.8 bar).

Stop digging. Actually stop thinking. MBCs do not work on these cars.

I am a reliable source hence why i will advice you not to bother. Sorry if i came a little obnoxious. The ECUs we have on our cars run based on engine load. ECU automatically controls the amount of actual boost vs requested boost based on numerous variables so the system is always hands on.
